My reasons for publishing this web site are purely selfish, as far as the troupe is concerned. I needed an easier way of telling more people, other than just my local community, about us. Although there are still some local communities who need reminding, I hope to reach a larger area.

We were founded in 1974 and our present aims are; To create an organization for the young people in Wickford, and all surrounding towns, regardless of colour, creed or ability in which they can learn the art of Music ie to read music and to play an instrument, Choreography, Discipline, Dance and Baton Twirling; To teach the aspects of being part of a Military type Unit and to take pride in themselves and their Uniform; To give them the confidence needed and the opportunity to perform in public.

The age of our members ranges from 6 to 25 years and these young people spend most of their weekends performing in Carnivals and Displays, and entertaining the general public to a very high standard. Including their practice evening this takes up a large proportion of their time, energy and skills. The members are a super bunch and as a parent I can honestly say how extremely proud I am to be associated with them.
